Rediscovering an old passion

One of my New Year resolutions in January 2023 was to explore singing, a long-lasting but until then largely unexplored passion.

In these posts, I cast my mind back at my very first awkward and eventually abortive beginnings in singing; contemplate how much more than singing I am learning through the singing lessons; and explore the energy involved in both speaking and singing voice.

By July 2025 I had enough confidence to sing at the end-of-term class concert and to perform at the end-of-year Classical Singing concert at the City Lit, London, for the very first time.
